Deforrest Riley-Smith scored 17 points and Chris Alexander followed with 14 to help lead Southern University to an 84-to-80 win over Alabama A-and-M today.Southern (13-11) had five players with double-digit scores. Peter Cipriano and Jerrid Campbell scored 12 points each while Steffon Wiley added 10.

The Eagles led 36-26 at the half and went 5-of-15 from 3-point range.

Michael Ford led Alabama A-and-M (8-12) with 23 points, followed by Obie Trotter with 19 and Joe Martin with 14.

The Bulldogs went 32-of-75 in the game, including 7-of-20 from 3-point range.
