Green Day - American Idiot
Posted at 5:40 AM on Aug. 31, 2005
Don't want to be an American Idiot Don't want a nation under the new media Can you hear the sound of hysteria? The subliminal mind fuck America
Welcome to a new kind of tention All across the alien nation Where everything isn't meant to be ok Television dreams of tomorrow We're not the ones meant to follow For that's enough to argue
Maybe I am the faggot America I'm not a part of a redneck agenda Now everybody do the propaganda And sing along to the age of paranoia
Welcome to a new kind of tention All across the alien nation Where everything isn't meant to be ok Television dreams of tomorrow We're not the ones meant to follow For that's enough to argue
Don't want to be an American Idiot One nation controlled by the media Information age of hysteria Is going out to Idiot America
Welcome to a new kind of tension All across the alien nation Where everything isn't meant to be ok Television dreams of tomorrow We're not the ones meant to follow For that's enough to argue
**** I love this song

LIFE PHILOSOPHY AND BEER
Posted at 11:04 AM on Apr. 30, 2005
A meteorology professor stood before his Meteorology 101 class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly he picked up a very large and empty glass mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.
The professor then picked up a jar of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open spaces between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.
The professor picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar and of course the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous yes.
The professor then produced two cans of beer from under the table and then proceeded to pour the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the grains of sand. The students laughed.
"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things -- your family, your partner, your health, your children, your friends, your favorite passions -- things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.
"The pebbles are the other things that matter, like your job, your house, your car. The sand is everything else -- the small stuff.
"If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for your life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out dancing. Play another 18.
"There will always be time to go to work, clean the house, give a dinner party and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first -- the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."
One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the beer represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of beers."

People are aware, but not that bothered

I've been reading a lot about philosophy. Do you really know where you are going? Do you have a plan-of-action to take the kinks out of your road to the future? ...you can reach and find happiness. You can reach for that plain peace-of-mind which you desire. All you have to do is turn the key and open the door.
And how do you see yourself in fifty years time?
My fantasies are unlikely. But beautiful. Well... I love life, but there's so much shit to deal with.

Points to remember: Space is important. I don’t own anyone. My opinions count, but they don’t have to be followed.

Boulevard of Broken Dreams
I walk a lonely road The only one I that have ever known Don't know were it goes But its home to me and I walk alone
I walk this empty street On the Boulevard of broken dreams Where the city sleeps And I'm the only one and I walk alone
I walk alone
My shadows the only one that walks beside me My shallow hearts the only thing that's beating Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me Till then I walk alone
Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ahhh
I'm walking down the line That divides me somewhere in my mind On the border line of the edge And were I walk alone
Read between the lines of what's Fucked up and every things all right Check my vital signs to know I'm still alive And I walk alone
My shadows the only one that walks beside me My shallow hearts the only thing that's beating Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me Till then I walk alone
Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ahhh
I walk alone
I walk this empty street On the Boulevard of broken dreams Were the city sleeps And I'm the only one and I walk a..
My shadows the only one that walks beside me My shallow hearts the only thing that's beating Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me Till then I'll walk alone!

Hey!

Weell... Have I told you about my family? They're terrible, I have no peace living with my two little sidters, one little brother, two cats and one dog - and my parents too!! It's too many people sharing one single house. Fortunately, I have my own bedroom, otherwise I'd be mad.
Last week I had a test, a very difficult one, and I couldn't study because of my sidter's mess. I talked about it with Fred, a friend of mine, and he told me that he also could not stand his family so we're thinking about sharing a room. I'm afraid this idea would be even worse them continuing living here... Fred is a bit annoied... sorry Fred!

I just discovered this band from hearing it on the Tony Hawk Pro Skater Underground 2 soundtrack. They really have a great sound. I'm tempted to head out to Tower Records to buy the CD.

family took a trip
Posted at 2:32 PM on Mar. 17, 2005
Today our family took a trip to Manhattan beach, which I must say is my favorite among the many beaches along L.A.'s coast. By the time we got there, the water was frigid even though the sand felt like hot coals beneath my feet. The kids and I immediately jumped into the water with our surfboards and waited for a good wave to catch. We had a great time - I bet we'll be back in a few weeks
