SOCHAUX HIT BACK AT JEERING FANS
Sochaux have reacted to being booed by a section of their own fans at the weekend by releasing a statement criticising the supporters´ actions and suggesting they could affect potential future signings.
Dominique Bijotat´s men were jeered off the pitch during Saturday´s goalless draw with Le Mans at the Bonal arena, a result that leaves Sochaux rooted in the bottom five of Ligue 1. Sochaux duo Jeremy Menez and Philippe Brunel both came under heavy criticism during the match and, two days later, the behaviour of the fans still rankles with the players, leading the club to take the unusual step of issuing a press statement about the situation.
"In their own stadium two Sochaux players were booed and insulted during the match.
