SOCHAUX COACH CONSIDERS FUTURE
Dominique Bijotat is unsure about his future as coach at Sochaux after being hit by a volley of criticism from the club's fans.
Sochaux have secured their status in Ligue 1 for another season but the team's poor campaign prompted their supporters to insult Bijotat during Sunday's 1-0 win over Metz at the Grimonprez-Jooris stadium and demand his resignation.
Bijotat, who has the backing of his board, is contracted to the club until the summer of 2007 but he admitted he is struggling to cope with the pressure.
"I have not decided whether I will continue," he said in L'Equipe.
"I was called an "average coach" by some people and I am very sad about that deep inside.
"It has affected me. Football shouldn't be like that.
"Some might want me to resign, I can accept that, but personal insults are difficult to accept.
"I have to think about my situation."
Sochaux are 16th in the table with two matches remaining this season.
