Christian Singles - 5 Tips to Meet Christian Singles Online
5 Tips to Meet Christian Singles Online 1. Your Profile: Include
a picture of you smiling and preferably not posing – look
natural but happy. If you want people to know you’re funny, or
fun loving – then tell them something funny, or fun that you love
to do. Don’t just blurt out the obvious, give details and
insight into exactly what makes you tick. In the Christian online dating world, showing rather than telling will help you stand out from the crowd. 2. Correspondence: Humor is the quickest way to win over Christian singles.
Be light-hearted in email and chatting correspondence. Try to
stay away from the 20 questions game, and leave serious topics,
such as their 5 year plan for the future, or the past
relationships, out of the equation. Be simple, upbeat, and
remember to ask questions! Nobody wants to read a novel about you
in email form. Try to create a dialogue. 3. Use Compliments: For
example, you could start off correspondence with: “Where did you
get that amazing (insert any positive physical trait, such as
smile, hair, eyes, etc.)” When trying to meet Christians,
it’s a good rule of thumb to remember that everyone loves a little
flattery, and compliments are a fun and easy way to break the ice.
However, don’t go overboard, which can backfire and make the other
person suspect that you’re fake, or that you hand out compliments
to everyone without a second thought. 4. Use Spell Check:
Reading an email full of grammar and spelling mistakes is cited
as a turn-off in nearly every online dating poll ever conducted.
Even worse are the people who intentionally misspell words,
making it sounds as if a hipster 12 year old wrote the email. It’s
ok to let a mistake or two slip through the cracks, but get in the
habit of re-reading your correspondence before you hit send. 5. Focus on Fun: Don’t talk about marriage, commitment, children, or deal breakers before you’ve even met the person! Christian internet dating
often leads to the same boring get-to-know you questions that
quickly get old. So stick to fun topics that will put a smile on each
other’s faces. For instance – what’s your favorite type of gelato?
What? Never tried Gelato? You’ve just come up with your perfect
first date option. Or you could ask about their ideal road trip
destination, favorite bottle of wine, you get the picture. The idea
is to lead into shared interests and possible activities for you
to participate in together in the near future. THEN, you can get
to the heart of the heavy, pressing matters, if you wish.

Christian online community - Share Faith and Meet Christians in the Growing Online Christian Community
In the internet age, it may seem
that we are becoming more disconnected. When I take a look around as
I’m walking through the grocery store or waiting in line at the DMV,
everyone is attached to a mobile device, many people seem to be talking
to themselves, although I give them the benefit of the doubt and
assume there is a blue tooth hiding beneath their hair. Like
hard-working honey bees, leaving the office is no longer an excuse for
the work day to be over. We are all expected to be in constant
contact through emails, messaging, and phone calls. But does this
instant “connection” really connect us, or are we becoming more and
more disjointed from the world around us? While
the internet touts the possibility of connecting the world, it
requires a conscious effort to make connections, rather than to wall
ourselves off with a small fortune worth of electronics. With the
creation of social networking sites, it is possible to connect quickly
and immediately with friends and family scattered across the globe.
However, we seem to be getting used to communicating in small snippets,
while lengthy, meaningful conversations fall to the wayside. That how
I felt before I found the Christian community
online. Instead of the one sentence updates so common on other areas
of the web, the growing online Christian population doesn’t shy away
from dealing with emotional, spiritual, and complex facets of life. As I searched through Christian blogs,
I felt inspired by the sometimes heartbreaking and sometimes
uplifting honesty that people were sharing. Life is full of hardships,
and none of us should have to suffer through these alone. As the Christian online community
grows, my original opinion of the growing detachment of our
technology age is shifting gears. The internet, just like life, is
what we make of it. We can choose to make connections, or to shy away
from humanity, but either the way the internet is only a tool, the
intent comes from each of us. Once I found the online Christian community, I was amazed at how easy it is to connect with and meet Christians
from around the globe. A decade ago it never would have been possible
for me to speak with someone from Kenya, or the Philippines on the
topic of God – let alone to speak with both of them on the same day! I
feel uplifted knowing that I can touch on spiritual topics and feel an
affinity for and from people who are separated by thousands of miles
of land and water.

Tips for Creating an Online Dating Profile to Christian dating websites
1)
Ask yourself: what makes you unique? Do you love spending hours or
days outdoors, or does dirt make you squeamish? Are you a bookworm that
likes to stay home, or are you most comfortable in a large group of
people? Where do you eat dinner – at your dining room table or at the
hottest new restaurant? Are you comfortable dressed up out on the town,
or do you prefer a low-key night at your local pub wearing jeans? To
attract people that you mesh well with, you must first be honest about
who you are. 2) How much information should you reveal on Christian dating websites?
On the one hand, appearing too mysterious right off the bat will
probably not attract as many people as if you reveal more details about
yourself. However, going on and on about yourself can backfire as
well. The best way to get around looking conceited while still
revealing the right amount of details about yourself is to show more
than tell. For example, don’t say, “I’m intelligent and work hard.”
Instead, tell an anecdotal story about something intelligent or
hardworking that you’ve done recently. 3)
Don’t be too serious! First encounters should be light-hearted.
Always focus on the positive, don’t get too in-depth about problems
you may be experiencing. People who enjoy life are sure to attract
others; they will want to know how you’ve gotten that happy glow. Make
a few light hearted jokes about yourself so that others know you
don’t take yourself too seriously. 4) Pictures: Post flattering photos on Christian social networking sites
– ones that look like you in real life – in other words you want to
be smiling and having fun. Sure, you can include a glamour shot if you
want, but ideally you’re hoping to attract someone who likes YOU, not
the you that takes 5 hours to make up. A picture is worth a thousand
words, so show yourself having a good time and you’re sure to meet
people who would love to insert themselves into your fun life. Include
interesting anecdotes: What’s your ideal date? What are your 3 most
proud accomplishments in the past year? What attracts you to others?
Are you trying to meet Christians or does religion matter little to you? Where do you see yourself in 3 years? What brings you to this online dating site?

Online Christian Community Features Christian Blog

PrayerGroup, a social media company, announced today that it has developed an international Christian blog
forum, allowing people from all over the world a place to share their
faith through blogging. The forum, which is integrated into
PrayerGroup’s online Christian social network; provides bloggers with the opportunity to either post blogs within the forum or link back to their external Christian blog.
“We
have worked hard to provide our members with the ability to simply
integrate their already existing blogs into PrayerGroup so our worldwide
community can enjoy them,” said Vince Jensen, founder. “Besides links,
we also offer RSS feeds and an integrated Wordpress application so
members can post their thoughts on faith in one single place,” he said.
The Christian blog feature was added to compliment the Christian chat and prayer request forums within its Christian social network. The online Christian community
continues to develop features to enable people to collaborate as they
share pictures, christian videos, christian music and other faith-based
content.
“There
are very few Christian blogs on the web that are integrated into a full
social network.” said Mr. Jensen. “This allows Christians to easily
share ideas, meet each other and enjoy their faith together,” he added.
At
the heart of PrayerGroup’s Christian blog section is its robust search
engine optimization. This allows Christian blogs to quickly spread
through search engines worldwide.

Christian Online Community Makes it Easier than Ever to Meet Christians and Share Faith
The
future of churches are changing, thanks to the global interconnectivity
possible because of the internet. The internet makes it easier than
ever to connect with fellow believers. The focus of a Christian online community is to highlight people’s common faith and interests.
By sharing faith with others in the online community, the focus of
religion is rapidly shifting away from denominations and toward a global
faith. With online forums, chat rooms, and blogs, it is possible for
everyone’s voices to be heard, taking the focus away from Christian
divisions, and instead allowing for healthy insight and understanding
from many areas of the globe.
Christian social networks
make it cheaper, faster, and easier than ever to spread the word of God
to more people than was ever possible at any other point in history.
Social networks are not about being preached to, instead, it is an
interactive environment that allows comments and questions. Many points
of view are present and welcomed in one virtual space. The magnitude of
the web’s impact in relation to religion has only just begun and will
continue to grow exponentially in influence in the coming years.
Consider a person in need of prayer. Before a person would request
prayer from their ministry, family, and friends, and probably get a few
dozen, maybe a few hundred prayers. Now, it is possible to post an online prayer requeston
Christian forums and receive prayers from Christians around the globe.
Christians are also encouraged to visit forums and give prayers to those
in need, and in this manner become a driving part of the global faith
network. The power of collective prayer can be realized now unlike ever
before.
While social networking sites have already proven popular and a great
way to network and share info with people around the world, until
recently there has been a lack of faith-driven social networking sites.
Single Christians can also take advantage of the online church community
to message, chat, and meet Christians In
addition to all the traditional offerings of a social networking site,
such as sharing pictures, writing on friend’s walls, personalizing your
home page, and seeking out your favorite artists, authors, and
musicians, on Christian social networking sites you can also feel
comfortable discussing a central aspect of your life: your faith.
Sharing a common view is essential to building a strong foundation for a
lasting relationship, so why not meet singles who share your religious
outlook?

free online church community - Nation’s Largest Christian Social Network
A social media company announced today that it has completed the development of the nation’s largest free online church community at www.prayergroup.org. With over 70,000 church pages available, PrayerGroup provides ministries with their own online page to post information, sermons, bible studies, and other content. In addition, the site offers a master calendar of faith-based events in cities across the country. The church features compliment PrayerGroup’s Christian social network which allows members across the globe to come together to discuss faith.
“When PrayerGroup began, we realized that many churches lacked even a basic website not to mention a place where their fellowship can interact between church events,” said Vince Jensen, PrayerGroup’s founder. “Offering every church a free option to do just this seemed essential,” he added
As part of the free service, churches are provided a page where they can post discussion topics including bible studies. In addition a media rich comment wall provides both the church and member the ability to share documents, pictures, videos and other content. PrayerGroup also provides an upgraded service allowing churches to brand the wall to match an existing church website. Additional features also include an online donation link and customized information about the church or ministry.
“PrayerGroup is designed to bring Christians together from all over the world,” said Mr. Jensen. “It’s simply a great way for churches to reach out to new membership or interact with the fellowship they already have,” he added.
