THE LEGENDARY RAJ KUMAR IS NO MORE WITH US

Legendary Kannada actor Raj Kumar is no more in this world. This 77-year-old actor died out of cardiac arrest. He had been ill for the last few days. When he was brought to Bangalore’s M S Ramaiah Hospital, the doctors declared him dead. This legendary actor had won the most prestigious award Dada Saheb Phalke award for his great contribution to the Kannada film industry. He was highlighted, when sandalwood smuggler Veerappan abducted him for his Bangalore residence and he was kept in the jungle for almost 100 days. He started acting career as an actor from the film Bedara Kannappa in 1954.

LET ME LIVE MY LIFE

How much you review your career? Once, twice or thrice in a year or you don’t have any limit to your career review? But I never loose this opportunity of reviewing my career. Now-a-days youths get easily tensed. You know why, because they are easy to frustrate. So they get frustrated, intoxicated and spoil their lives. But if you are focused then no one in this world can spoil your life. What I’ve learnt from one of my friend is not to take so much stress in life. Live life as it is happening. Experiment should be a welcome step, but this should not be let rule your life. Otherwise your life may fall scattered away. Thus I believe “Life is nothing just to live. If you are able to live a successful, i.e., the full span (an abstract one) of life then you are a successful person.”

MY DISMAL MORNINGS

    You know, a bright sunny morning with a cup of hot tea and a newspaper make the better. Really every one must be jealous of me if I get this type of morning daily. But the real fact is that though I’m getting everything in a perfect blending, yet my long awaited mornings don’t happen entertaining for me. Now you must be scratching your heads, despite all these why I’m not enjoying my hard earning mornings. Hey wait, wait, I’m explaining you every thing. Yeah I know, I’ve no problem with the tea’s taste … no problem with morning (bcz, it’s natural.) The real problem is with the news paper. Whenever I start to read the front page, my eye stick at the crimes, plights of rape victims, fruitless reports on money scandals and so on… Are these called as news? Shame on me if I say the news are really making my mornings good ones.

Swords on stones, nymphs in lakes, demons on trees are ordinary to both as are stories of love and lust, faith and treachery, devotion and chicanery and chivalry.

WOMEN ON TOP

The world is developing and the society is changing. This is quite visible from the development of the women folk. She is one of the great woman athletes of India, the bronze medalist in the last edition of Olympic; she is long jumper Anju Bobby George. She won the second place in the World Athletics Final in Monaco last week. This achievement has placed her at fourth place in the latest world rankings released by the International Association of Athletics Federation. Isn’t it a great achievement by a woman?

BCCI’S BUSINESS ATTITUDE

I don’t understand, what gets entangled the BCCI when it rejects the next best international cricket tournament the Champions Trophy. The BCCI is becoming more and more business oriented rather than looking for other aspect of this game. The ICC has planned to invest the profit out of this tournament for the development of other cricket playing nations. But the BCCI is arguing that the organizers of this the Champions Trophy are facing financial loses. But the question is that, should boards like the BCCI work in this way for the development of the game in this way?

MESEMBRYANTHEMUM: A PLANT TO BE USED

Decorating house is a habit to be proud of. People decorate their house in various ways, like they use sculptures, zigzag lights, and different decorating plants. Mesembryanthemum is one of the best preferred plants that people use in decorating their homes. Mesembryanthemum is ideal for edgings, rock gar­dens, dry walls, pots, shallow pans and hanging-baskets. It is also suitable for growing in the front row of borders and for covering the ground under standard roses. Seeds are sown directly in permanent places where the plants are to be flowered. The seedlings are later thinned out of 15 cm apart. The sowing can be done in September-October in the plains and in March-April in the hills. The plants grow well in a light and well-drained soil and a sunny location. They can also grow successfully under dry conditions.
